Public policy shapes how markets operate and grow. SIFMA works closely with policymakers and regulators to promote sound policies that encourage investment, economic opportunity, and market stability.

We provide expertise on fiscal, tax, and trade issues and advocate for pragmatic, data-driven approaches that balance growth and oversight. From the debt ceiling and international trade to tax reform and the SEC’s rulemaking agenda, SIFMA helps ensure that public policy supports the health and competitiveness of the U.S. capital markets.
